Bavaria + The Alps Daily Painting Locations

 
 

Class Day 1 - Fussen Countryside

Painting Landscape and Skies: James will begin the workshop with a demo in the countryside. Students will paint the local landscape with Alps views.

Class Day 3 - Painting in Füssen, Altstadt

Füssen is a charming and paintable town with an incredible baroque church, colorful floral arrangments and a river flowing through.

Class Day 2 - Schwangau

Painting Landscape and water with views of architecture in a nearby village. We will paint in a morning location and a new place in the afternoon.

Class Day 4 - Linderhof Palace grounds

Primary home to King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The property has lush and manicured grounds with sculptures. We will paint the sculptures cleverly placed throughout the property. We’ll have lunch in Oberammergau.


Midway Break - We’ll enjoy our midway break relaxing in a village with a homemade german meal with our host family, in Kirckeim unter Tek. We’ll tour the mideaval town in the afternoon and prepare for painting on the second half of the workshop.


Week 2 - Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Class Day 5 - Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Our home base for the second half of the workshop. This town is incredible! There is so much to paint!

Class Day 7 - Bamberg

Fresco paintings cover the colorful buidlings and The Regnitz River winds through the heart of the town.

Final Critique

Students will get to see what everyone has accumulated in our workshop time. Shown here is Tiffany C and all of her work.

Class Day 6 - Dinklesbhül

A mideval storybook town close to Rotheburg that has so much for us all to discover.

Class Day 8 - Rothenburg ob der Tauber

We’ll paint at a new location within our home base town.
